What Sets Us Apart

International Baccalaureate Education for All

We’re becoming the only public school district in Austin to provide an International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum for all. Three of our schools are IB candidates while our Wayside: REAL Learning Academy campus is a certified IB campus.

What is IB?

The IB is a curricula framework focused on helping students learn to think more critically, challenge what they are told, and think with a global perspective. It places importance on holistically developing children, using the IB Learner Profiles as the building blocks for learning.
