Wayside Schools Students, Families and Staff:
Thank you for joining us in making our voices heard at City Hall on this critical issue. We will be providing a bus to take us from the Wayside: REAL Learning Academy to downtown as parking is very limited and expensive. If you need to drive, parking is located in a public garage below City Hall and will require payment upon leaving. Additionally, we will be providing water and snacks, but we highly encourage families to eat before you come.
If you joined us for the Planning Commission meeting on May 24th, please wear the maroon Wayside Schools t-shirt that you were given!
If you have a Wayside Schools student we highly encourage you to bring them in uniform so that the City Council Members can see the impact of their decision.
Tentative Agenda: (May be changed if City Council elects to do so)
5:00 p.m. – Arrive at the Wayside: REAL Learning Academy (6405 S. IH 35, Austin, Texas 78744)
5:15 p.m. – Load bus to leave
5:45 p.m. – Arrive at City Hall (301 W. 2nd St, Austin, Texas 78701)
6:00 p.m. – Gather under solar awning on the South side of City Hall to get organized with our other charter school colleagues before heading into Planning Commission.
7:00 – 9:00 p.m. – City Council Meeting, we are pushing to have our Charter School issue pushed up to the first item on the agenda, but if unsuccessful need to be prepared to wait until our item comes up as scheduled.
9:00 p.m. – Load bus to return to Wayside: REAL Learning Academy
