My journey in education began in 2009 as a Bilingual Paraprofessional in Bastrop ISD and a bilingual teacher in grades 2-4. In 2017, I joined the Wayside family as a Bilingual Special Education teacher—a role that opened the door to continued growth and leadership opportunities. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of serving as an Instructional Coach, Assistant Principal, and most recently, as Principal in Residence.
As a daughter of immigrant parents, my background has deeply shaped my commitment to equity, belonging, and the belief that every child deserves to be seen, supported, and challenged.
REAL is a community where children are truly known, loved, and challenged. REAL has a strong foundation rooted in academic excellence, joy, and a deep sense of purpose. I’ve witnessed our scholars grow, thrive, and reach new heights, and I couldn’t be more proud of those accomplishments and to lead this school.
