I am honored to be joining the AMA and Wayside Communities as the proud principal at Altamira Academy. I will begin my 18th year in education this Fall. Over my career, I have been a Kindergarten and third grade classroom teacher, Math and Science curriculum specialist, assistant principal, and will now begin my eighth year as a campus principal. Prior to coming to Wayside Schools, I spent 14 years in Bastrop ISD and 3 years in Dripping Springs ISD.

I graduated college from Texas State University and later received my master’s degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University. I believe in a growth mindset and seeking opportunities to continue my development as a leader and educator. I am passionate about the work I get to do and most of all love helping others to achieve their goals! I truly love people, getting to know their story and being a part of the academic journeys of our scholars and families as well as the professional journeys of our staff scholars.

I’m looking forward to partnering and building relationships in the upcoming school year! It’s going to be a great one!
