Wayside: REAL Learning Academy’s 5th grade scholars are gearing up for their PYP Exhibition, held November 15 and 16 at the campus. As the capstone project of IB’s Primary Years Programme (PYP), the exhibition is a chance for scholars to demonstrate their critical thinking skills.

“Our annual exhibition gives scholars the opportunity to create action to a real world problem that resonates with them,” Melissa Berdis, IB Coordinator, said. “We have several thought-provoking topics this year that center around resources, pollution, education and social justice.”

Currently, only Wayside: REAL Learning Academy scholars participate, but in coming years, other Wayside elementary schools will participate as well.

The exhibition is open to the Wayside community, and parents of future 5th graders are encouraged to attend. The times are Thursday, November 15 from 4:30-5:30, and Friday, November 15 from 8:30-12:30.
