My name is Choi (“Chay”) Hicks. I am truly honored and excited to serve as STMS Principal. I have taught in four states and in six school districts, all from which I gained a wealth of experiences working with a diverse group of families. I most recently served as Principal-in-Residence at REAL Learning Academy. Prior to that I was an Assistant Principal at Dripping Springs ISD, worked as a Math Instructional Coach at Bryan ISD, and taught fifth grade in Lake Travis ISD.

I received my B.A. in Public Relations from The University of Texas-Arlington in 2000, just 2.5 years after I finished my service in the U.S. Air Force. I received my M.S. in Education Human Resource Development from Texas A&M University and my Principal Certification from Stephen F. Austin University.

I am looking forward to working with our amazing scholars and staff, as well as meeting our Raven families.
